Fundraising for North Shore Rescue
Most fundraising events that support North Shore Rescue are run independently of the team. We’re happy to help by sharing your message on social media, but we don’t manage or run these events ourselves.
If you have any questions about fundraising for NSR, please contact us.
Endowment Funds
In addition to donations that support our day‑to‑day operations, training, and maintenance, North Shore Rescue has established two endowment funds with the West Vancouver Community Foundation. These funds are designed to provide a stable, long‑term source of support for future needs.
Danny Possee Memorial Fund
The Danny Possee Memorial Fund was created in memory of Danny Possee by his parents Derek and Sally. The capital of the fund is retained by the West Vancouver Community Foundation, and the income it generates will be used to help the team purchase new vehicles, as needed.
The North Shore Rescue Team Endowment Fund
The North Shore Rescue Team Endowment Fund exists to support future equipment needs. Capital remains with the West Vancouver Community Foundation, and the income is directed toward buying safety‑critical equipment such as ropes, stretchers, and rescue systems. This income is not used for consumables like fuel and meals, or for members’ personal gear or social activities.
If you would like to make a charitable, tax-deductible donation, please indicate which of these funds you would like your donation directed to and make your cheque payable to:
